Garrison Hill Tower - No bathroom. There is a small playground. It’s on rt. 108 just before the hospital on your right. There’s a small sign and a steep hill up.

Durham (Recreation department):
Jackson's Landing playground - On rt.108 take the 108 exit off rt. 4 head towards Durham + University take first road on your left and immediate right. Playground is behind the rink. No bathrooms.
Emery Farm - summertime fruit picking and animals
Wagon Hill Farm is also another nice park in Durham to visit. Lots of open area no playground, but kids can swim in the bay/river
Adams Point trails - No bathroom. No playground. Woodsy trails + bay views. Take 108 from Durham towards Newmarket. Take left onto Durham Point Rd. Follow 5-10 miles take a left at the sign for UNH Jackson’s lab.
Exeter (Recreation department):
Planet Playground - One of the best around. It is on Hampton Road, Exeter. Huge wooden structures, towers, bridges, etc. (toilet is only open in summer)

Hampton Beach Playground- On the beach at the main strip on Ocean Blvd, Hampton Beach

Applecrest Farm Orchards - apples, pumpkins, hay rides, store, events
North Hampton (Recreation department):
North Hampton Playground by Route 95 - playground, sledding
Kingston (Recreation department):
Kingston State Park. Fresh water swimming on Great Pond. Great Pond was formed as a kettle hole created as the glacial ice melted. Kingston State Park is only 14 miles from the seacoast. 44 acres. Bathhouse, playing fields, picnic tables, swings
Kittery (Recreation department):
Fort Foster. Walking, beaches, playground, picknic areas
New Castle (Recreation department):
Great Island Common - beautiful views, beaches, walking, picnic areas, small playground
Portsmouth (Recreation department):
South Mill Pond - playground, trails, dog run
Peirce Island - Across from Strawbery Banke parking lot off Marcy Street at the end of the Prescott Park gardens in Portsmouth’s South End. Walking paths, historic markers, rest room on Four Tree Island only, site of public pool in summer with small playground. Picnic area at Four Tree Island with cooking facilities.

Rochester (Recreation department):
Waste Management trails + waterfall. …don’t be fooled, it’s gorgeous! No bathrooms or playground. Take rt 16 to exit 12. Go south on rt.125 for 2 miles. Take a left at the lights. Follow about 1 mile to trail entrance on your right or second entrance after passing dump on right another mile down.
Rye (Recreation department):
Odiorne State Park - walking, gorgeous scenery, ocean, playground, bathrooms, and science center near by. Rt. 1A
Stratham (Recreation department):
Stratham Playground - Huge sport fields and nice, new playground. Located off Bunker Hill Avenue in Stratham. You can't see it from the road because it is down a hill and behind a huge dome-like structure that you can't miss. Has port-a-potty.
South Berwick (Recreation department):
Shoe Town Playground - Toddler playground (ages 1-5). Located next to the Community Center on Norton St. in South Berwick. Come into South Berwick on Rt 4 or Rt. 236. Head past the post office on Main St. Take right onto Norton St. Community Center isj Just down on your right. Includes a sandbox with lots of trucks, sand toys, etc, also has baby swings. Picnic table or two available. Community center bathrooms open during business hours. Otherwise, there is a port-o-let.
Central School Playground - at the town elementary school right on Main St. Park in back of the building near the playground. For ages 4-10. Includes a sandbox. No bathrooms or picnic tables.
Berwick Academy Playground - behind Berwick Academy on Academy St. in South Berwick. If coming into town from Rt. 236 or Rt. 4, head onto Academy St. from Main St. (at Federated Church). Take a right at Academy to head up the driveway to the back of the building. No bathrooms or picnic tables. Appropriate for ages 4+.
